  • Contract: Until the end of the academic year, with potential extension until December 2025
  • Hours: 8:45 AM - 3:45 PM, Monday to Friday (Term-Time Only)
  • Salary: £85 - £115 per day (dependent on experience)

Role Summary: We are looking for a patient, resilient, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Reception and Year 1 child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role requires strong behaviour management skills, as well as an understanding of sensory needs, communication difficulties, and social-emotional development.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide one-to-one support to help the child access learning in a structured and engaging way.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to support emotional regulation and positive interactions.
  • Use visual aids, social stories, and other ASD-friendly approaches to enhance understanding and communication.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt activities and follow the child's EHCP (Education, Health & Care Plan).
  • Encourage social development and independence through structured play and positive reinforcement.
