SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT - Immediate Start - Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm term time only

We are currently looking for an experienced primary SEN Teaching Assistant for a full time (8.30 - 3.30pm, term time only) job role in an North London primary school.

The school is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant, who can demonstrate previous success in working with children with ASD and Complex needs. The school strives to provide the best quality teaching and learning with an inclusive and personalised curriculum. The team within the school is very supportive and will help you along the way. Learning, well-being and safeguarding are at the heart of what they do.

Key Skills required:

· Patience - remaining calm in challenging situations

· Flexibility - adjusting your teaching in line with the needs of the student

· Good social skills -you must be able to work well within a team

· Good communication skills to support your students needs

· Creative - adapt how you support your student to offer the best learning experience

· Sensitivity and empathy - being kind, understanding and respectful of the student at all times.

Requirements:

  • ASD, Complex needs experience
  • Valid ID documents
  • Full DBS - on the update service or willing to apply for one.
