Are you a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Brent.

About the Role:


As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning disabilities. Your role will be crucial in helping students access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN
* Assisting with the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities
* Encouraging the development of social skills and independence
* Supporting students with emotional regulation and behaviour management
* Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to learning
* Helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
* Assisting with personal care, if required

Requirements:


* Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or working with children with special educational needs
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting children
* Understanding of strategies to support children with Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A valid DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
* Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
