The Role:
  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support).
  • Salary: £80-£100 per day, based on experience.

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to a child with ASD, ensuring they remain engaged, confident, and comfortable in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work 1:1 with a child with autism, offering academic and emotional support.
  • Use structured routines and sensory-friendly strategies to help the child engage in learning.
  • Implement behavioural strategies to encourage participation and confidence.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where the child can succeed.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or Behaviour Mentor.
  • A patient, understanding, and proactive approach to working with children.
  • Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, or communication difficulties.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
