A secondary school in Hackney is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from mid-March. This is an excellent opportunity for someone dedicated to helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide in-class support to students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
- Assist teachers in adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Work one-on-one and in small groups to enhance student engagement.
- Encourage positive behaviour and social development.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
- Experience working with children with SEN.
- A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
