The SEN Teaching Assistant JobWe are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with students with SLD and ASD. You will provide one-on-one support, helping students engage with their learning and develop independence, literacy and mathematics skills. If you have patience, creativity, and a desire to make a real impact in the lives of these pupils, then this might be the job for you!

The SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

  • Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement
  • Support with planning, preparation and resourcing for lessons
  • Promote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities
  • Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school's policy and procedures
  • Organise and manage teaching space and resources to help maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment
