The Role:

You will be based either 1:1 or in small groups, supporting children within the school's SEN provision or in the mainstream classroom, helping them access learning and manage daily routines confidently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with ASD, sensory processing needs, and speech/language difficulties.
- Deliver activities and interventions as planned by SEN specialists and teachers.
- Provide structured routines, positive reinforcement, and behaviour support.
- Work closely with staff and external agencies to ensure consistent care and learning.
- Promote independence and social development through structured and unstructured activities.
Who We're Looking For in an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Prior experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in SEN-related settings.
- Confidence working with pupils who may display non-verbal communication or behaviours that challenge.
- Familiarity with PECS, visual schedules, or sensory-based approaches is highly desirable.
- A resilient, calm, and nurturing approach to supporting pupils.
- Valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
