Are you a patient and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference? A welcoming mainstream primary school in Lambeth, just a short walk from Loughborough Junction Station, is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a Year 3 student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).



The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Provide individualised support to a Year 3 student with ASD, helping them engage with learning.
  • Implement strategies and interventions to support communication, social skills, and emotional regulation.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lesson materials and create a structured, supportive environment.
  • Encourage independence and confidence while fostering positive relationships with peers.
  • Monitor and document progress, feeding back to staff and parents.


What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children with ASD, either in a school or similar setting.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting SEN students.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • Ability to use visual supports, sensory strategies, and other techniques to aid learning.
  • A reliable and proactive attitude to support children's development.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
