Position: SEN Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 1 (KS1)
Start Date: April 22nd, 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Salary: 90 - 110 per day (dependent on experience)

An inclusive and supportive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work within their KS1 department, supporting pupils with special educational needs. This is an excellent opportunity to join a welcoming team and help children thrive both academically and socially.

• Provide 1:1 or small group support for children with SEN in KS1
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies
• Support pupils with a range of needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges
• Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
• Maintain a calm, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN (essential)
• Knowledge of the primary curriculum, particularly in KS1
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy and a positive, proactive approach
• A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one

• Friendly and inclusive ethos with a strong focus on pupil well-being
• Supportive leadership team and experienced SEN department
