Seeking a dedicated and experienced1:1 Teaching Assistantto support a child with autism who has anEducation, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). This role requires patience, resilience, and the ability to negotiate effectively to engage the child in daily learning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providetailored 1:1 support, helping the child engage in classroom activities.
  • Usenegotiation and de-escalation strategiesto encourage participation.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies.
  • Adapt learning materials to meet the childs individual needs.
  • Foster apositive and structured learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experienceworking in a school setting.
  • Experience supporting children withautism and SEN.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to buildtrust and rapportwith the child.
  • A calm, patient, and flexible approach.
