A caring and inclusive primary school in Camden is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 pupil with ASD and speech and language needs. The school has a strong reputation for supporting students with a range of additional needs and offers excellent training and staff support.

This role requires someone calm, nurturing, and proactive who can build a positive and consistent relationship with the pupil while working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement strategies and meet EHCP targets.

Duties Will Include:

  • Providing 1:1 support in and out of the classroom

  • Supporting social communication and regulation strategies

  • Helping to adapt and differentiate tasks to the pupil's learning level

  • Monitoring progress and feeding back to staff and parents

  • Promoting independence and confidence

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience supporting children with ASD or similar needs

  • A confident understanding of SEN support strategies

  • Excellent communication and empathy skills
