SEN Teaching Assistant | Year 9 | Secondary School | Wandsworth | London | 105-115 per day | Long Term Role | Starting ASAP
The Opportunity:
- Support Year 9 students in achieving academic progress across all subjects
- Well-resourced mainstream secondary school with a strong inclusion team
- Collaborative role working closely with the SENCo and teaching staff

- Full-time role, Monday to Friday, paid up to 115 per day, term time only
- Based in Wandsworth, London, with excellent transport links
- Immediate start, with potential for a long-term placement
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the SENCo by helping to plan and deliver effective strategies for students who need extra help.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to Year 9 students, especially those with special educational needs (SEN).
- Help manage classroom behaviour to create a calm and focused learning environment.
- Assist students with staying on task, understanding lesson materials, and completing coursework.
- Work closely with teachers and staff to monitor student progress and adjust support as needed.
Who We're Looking For:
- A minimum Level 3 qualification (essential).
- Experience helping in secondary schools or working with students who need extra support - Special Educational Needs.
- A kind, patient, and flexible attitude when working with young people.
- Great at communicating and working well with teachers, students, and families.
- Someone who can motivate and support students, helping create a positive and encouraging classroom.
- Really cares about keeping students safe and supporting their well-being.
