SEN Teaching Assistant | Year 9 | Secondary School | Wandsworth | London | 105-115 per day | Long Term Role | Starting ASAP

The Opportunity:

  • Support Year 9 students in achieving academic progress across all subjects
  • Well-resourced mainstream secondary school with a strong inclusion team

  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday, paid up to 115 per day, term time only
  • Based in Wandsworth, London, with excellent transport links

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the SENCo by helping to plan and deliver effective strategies for students who need extra help.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to Year 9 students, especially those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Help manage classroom behaviour to create a calm and focused learning environment.
  • Assist students with staying on task, understanding lesson materials, and completing coursework.
  • Work closely with teachers and staff to monitor student progress and adjust support as needed.

Who We're Looking For:

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification (essential).
  • Experience helping in secondary schools or working with students who need extra support - Special Educational Needs.
  • A kind, patient, and flexible attitude when working with young people.
  • Great at communicating and working well with teachers, students, and families.
  • Someone who can motivate and support students, helping create a positive and encouraging classroom.
  • Really cares about keeping students safe and supporting their well-being.
