SEN Teaching Assistant - Immediate Start

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Islington, North London
Pay: £95-£105 per day (PAYE)
Contract: October 2024 - July 2025 (term-time only)
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 08:30-15:30

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team at one of our partner schools in Islington. This role is perfect for a psychology graduate (or related subject) with a minimum 2:1 degree who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs in a diverse and vibrant community.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Key Requirements:
  • Experience is essential: Candidates must have prior school-based experience working with neurodiverse or SEN students.
  • A strong understanding of strategies to support children with Autism, ADHD, or other additional needs.
  • Proven ability to engage students in their learning and manage behaviour effectively.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Islington, you will be providing tailored 1:1 or small group support to students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum in a way that suits their needs.

Youll work closely with the schools SENCo to implement education healthcare plans (EHCPs) and support students social and emotional development, creating a safe and positive learning environment.
