We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive team at our primary school based in Greenwich, South East London. This role involves working closely with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who require additional support, including personal care.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be key in helping our students access the curriculum and develop independence in a nurturing environment. You will provide tailored support, both in and out of the classroom, to ensure they reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Have previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism, is essential
  • Have experience or willingness to assist with personal care (training will be provided)
  • Have a relevant qualification in childcare or special educational needs (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent)
  • Have a positive, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Experienced supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
