Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £90 to £110 per day (dependent on experience)

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in special schools in Tower Hamlets. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Previous experience in an SEN setting is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored one-to-one and group support to students with a range of special needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of personalised education and behaviour management plans.
  • Work alongside teachers and other support staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help students with their emotional, social, and academic development.
  • Support students with their daily activities and promote independence.
  • Foster a positive, nurturing environment for students, encouraging progress and confidence.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in an SEN setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage challenging behaviour.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students who have complex needs.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students and work as part of a team.
