Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £90 to £110 per day (dependent on experience)
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in special schools in Tower Hamlets. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Previous experience in an SEN setting is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored one-to-one and group support to students with a range of special needs.
- Assist in the implementation of personalised education and behaviour management plans.
- Work alongside teachers and other support staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help students with their emotional, social, and academic development.
- Support students with their daily activities and promote independence.
- Foster a positive, nurturing environment for students, encouraging progress and confidence.
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in an SEN setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage challenging behaviour.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students who have complex needs.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students and work as part of a team.
- Competitive daily rates of £90 to £110 based on your experience.
