SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Islington, London

LTF Recruitment is looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Islington, London.
This rewarding role involves working with students who require additional support due to SEN, offering 1:1 assistance and small group support. You will collaborate with teachers and the SENCo to ensure students are fully engaged and progressing academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support and small group assistance to students with SEN
- Work closely with teachers to implement personalised learning plans tailored to individual student needs
- Support students' academic, social, and emotional development
- Help manage behaviour in the classroom and foster a positive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and report to the SENCo and teaching staff
- Assist with the delivery of lessons, ensuring all students are fully supported
Essential Criteria:
- Experience working with students with SEN, particularly in a secondary school setting
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting students with diverse needs
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the overall development of the students
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience supporting students with ASD, ADHD, or other learning difficulties
- Understanding of SEN strategies and approaches
Additional Information:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Paid 95 - 105 per day, term time only
- Based in Islington, London - excellent transport links
