Job Description:We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Islington. This full-time position involves working with KS2 students, providing tailored support to children with special educational needs.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to implement personalised learning plans, ensuring each child receives the support they need to succeed. You will be helping children with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties, both on a one-to-one basis and in small group settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual support to students with SEN in KS2.
  • Assist in planning and delivering tailored activities to meet specific learning needs.
  • Promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being.
  • Monitor progress and feedback to the class teacher and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
  • Support students during class, break times, and extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN.
  • An understanding of SEN best practices and safeguarding procedures.
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
