Job Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (Teaching Assistant)

  • Location: Lewisham
  • Pay Rate: £90 - £105 per day
  • Hours: 8:30am - 4pm

Who Are We?

Remedy Education is a leading education recruitment agency in Lewisham, and we are actively recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants to support children in primary and secondary schools across South East London. You will be assigned a dedicated Account Manager who has strong relationships with local schools to help match you with the right opportunities.

Job Role:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, and other learning difficulties
  • Assisting with daily classroom activities and ensuring a positive learning environment
  • Encouraging and supporting students to engage with their learning, both academically and socially
  • Providing tailored support based on each pupil's individual learning needs
  • Working closely with teachers and other staff to monitor progress and implement strategies
  • Promoting positive behaviour management techniques

What We're Looking For:

  • A passion for working with children with SEN
  • Relevant experience in a similar role (working with SEN children is desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability
  • A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 1, 2, or 3) is desirable but not essential
  • The right to work in the UK
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
