About Us:

We are working with a one-form entry primary school in the heart of Bermondsey, in the Borough of Southwark. They are looking for a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant. They are looking for an individual with both ASD experience and strong knowledge of the National Curriculum. If you have the relevant experience and you are an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, please read on!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be able to engage and progress the learning of a pupil in Year 3
  • Be able to report to the class teacher
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Be able to think 'outside the box’ to extend pupil learning
  • Provide feedback to the pupil in relation to their progress and achievement.
  • Work flexibly and efficiently in a dynamic and lively environment

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with SEN pupils
  • Knowledge: Understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Desirable: Experience working with SEN children
