A lovely primary school in Haringey areĀ seeking a 1:1 SEND Teaching AssistantĀ to support 2 children in the school on a 1 to 1 basis.

The Role

In this SEN TeachingĀ Assistant role you will be supporting two pupils with identified Special Educational Needs. You will supportĀ TwinsĀ inĀ Reception with Autism. Both children require support to access learning in class and to regulate emotions and respond appropriately with peers.Ā  You will support the children both in the classroom and during specialist intervention sessions as required.

The school are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant with the following:Ā 

  • Experience supporting children with Autism
  • Experience of using visuals to structure sessions, including visual timetables, now/next boards
  • Calm, clear use of language
  • Confident behaviour management and boundaries

This role is offered on a full-time ongoing contract basis ASAP until July 2025.
