Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students with a variety of special educational needs, helping in the classroom and helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities for the SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Supporting students with a range of special educational needs (SEN) in the classroom and during individual activities
- Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning programs and interventions, under the guidance of teachers
- Helping students with personal care needs where required, such as feeding, dressing, and toileting
- Promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment and supporting students' social and emotional development
- Assisting in the development of communication skills for students with complex needs
- Working closely with other staff members and outside professionals to ensure the needs of students are met
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN), preferably in a school setting
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with students
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents
- Strong organisational skills and adaptability to different learning environments
- Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., NVQ in Special Educational Needs) are desirable but not essential

Hours: 08:30 to 15:45 - Monday to Friday (Term time)
