The Role:- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support).
- Salary: £80-£100 per day, depending on experience.
- Start Date: Immediate.
- Location: Waltham Forest, East London.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping a pupil with ASD engage with learning, develop social skills, and build confidence.
Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 classroom support, ensuring personalised learning experiences.
- Implement SEN strategies, including sensory activities and visual aids.
- Foster a positive learning environment that meets the pupil's individual needs.
- Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals.
- Track progress and adapt support as needed.
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children with ASD.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Experience with PECS, Makaton, or sensory strategies is beneficial but not essential.
