The Role:- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support).
- Salary: £80-£100 per day, based on experience.
- Location: Waltham Forest, East London.
- Start Date: Immediate.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a Key Stage 1 pupil with ASD, providing structured support to help them engage with learning and develop key skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 classroom support, ensuring personalised learning experiences.
- Use visual aids, sensory strategies, and structured routines to engage the pupil.
- Support the child's social and emotional development, encouraging confidence and independence.
- Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to implement tailored learning plans.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
- Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar role.
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children with SEN.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A passion for working with children and a commitment to inclusive education.
- Experience with PECS, Makaton, or sensory strategies is beneficial but not essential.
