About the School: SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a large, mainstream primary school in the Greenwich area. Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child within Early Years as a one-to-one support. This is a full-time, long-term position starting in September until the end of the academic year, offering the chance to make a significant impact in the lives of children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised one to one support to a child with a mild additional needs
  • Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and other support staff to ensure cohesive support strategies.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for all students.
  • Monitor and record the progress of students, providing regular feedback to staff and parents.
  • Utilize specialized strategies and interventions to support students' learning and development.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children with high needs in an SEN setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN best practices and interventions.
  • Happy to provide personal care as well as encouraging developments In this area
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or a related field are highly desirable.
