If so, GSL Education are looking for a dynamic, compassionate, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD in a vibrant school setting in Hammersmith and Fulham.

In this unique and fulfilling role, you will provide tailored support to students with diverse learning and emotional needs, ensuring they thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Join a passionate team committed to empowering every student to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities of the SEN TA:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD.
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored learning activities and individualised education plans.
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and well-being.
  • Help students develop essential social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to monitor progress and contribute to students' development.

Requirements of the SEN TA:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH, ASD, and/or ADHD is essential.
  • A good understanding of the challenges faced by students with these needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to form positive, trusting relationships with students.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with students and the wider school team.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and effective manner.
  • Relevant qualifications in special education, childcare, or a related field (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3) are desirable but not essential.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a flexible approach.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
