Teaching Assistant (TA) Role - Supporting a Neurodivergent Pupil in Year 2

SANZA Teaching Agency is currently recruiting on behalf of our client school in Hackney for a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant (TA) to support a neurodivergent pupil in Year 2.

This role involves working both within the classroom and providing one-to-one (1:1) intervention support to help the child thrive academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to a neurodivergent pupil, ensuring their needs are met in both group and individual settings.

Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Implement and deliver targeted interventions, adapting them to the child's specific learning style and requirements.

Foster a nurturing relationship with the pupil, encouraging confidence and independence.

Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed.

Maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere, ensuring the child feels valued and supported.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working with neurodivergent children, ideally within a primary school setting.

Demonstrate an understanding of the challenges neurodivergent pupils may face and have the ability to provide both academic and emotional support.

Be proactive, adaptable, and able to think creatively to overcome barriers to learning.

Show patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering the child's well-being and growth.

Be comfortable working in a dynamic classroom environment while managing 1:1 sessions.
