About the RoleWe are looking for compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Camden, supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a full-time, long-term role, ideal for those looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support for children with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Global Developmental Delay, Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome.
  • Assist in creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports each child's unique learning needs.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and specialists to tailor educational plans and activities.
  • Support children with daily tasks and activities, including physical and personal care where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a school setting.
  • Knowledge or experience with a range of SEN conditions such as ASD, ADHD, Global Delay, PMLD, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and a caring nature.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support is preferred but not essential.
