Are you a dedicated and passionate individual seeking a fulfilling, long-term role in a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school setting? We are currently recruiting experienced SEND Care Support Workers/Teaching Assistants to join our team, catering to children and young people aged 5-19 with diverse SEND needs, including Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties, and Speech and Language Communication Difficulties.
Job Details:
- Location: Islington, Camden, Haringey (Northwest London)
- Position: Full-time and part-time roles available
- Age Group: Children and young people aged 5-19
Responsibilities:
As a SEND Care Support Worker/Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing support for young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.
- Assisting with personal care, including feeding, moving, and handling.
- Supporting pupils in their learning development and addressing care needs within the school environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
- Experience in supporting children or young adults with learning difficulties or disabilities (desirable).
- Training in moving and handling.
- Care-based experience.
- Valid DBS registered with the online update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
