Senior SEND Teaching Assistants | Full Time | Immediate Paid Trial

We are seeking a nurturing Senior SEND Teaching Assistants TA to join one of our most flourishing mainstream schools in south east London. This SEND Teaching Assistants role would require you to support pupils within a primary school setting. Some of the pupils have special education needs (i.e ASD ADHD or SEMH). The school has strong supporting team who strives to be the best in every aspect of education, facilitating a network of dedicated staff who want to make a difference to young pupils future.

Role: SEND Teaching Assistant

Start: ASAP

Contract: Full time

Location: South East London

School Type: Primary

Rate: £95-105 per day

Ideal Candidate:

  • Assisting in the development of appropriate resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies.
  • Supervising and supporting a classroom in a group setting.
  • Supporting with behaviour management.
  • Undertaking structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities to ensure achievement of learning goals.
  • Establishing good relationships with children, acting as a role model.
  • Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children, supporting difference and ensuring that all have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
  • Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with challenging behaviours.
  • Safeguarding experience.
  • Minimum 1 year working with SEN students
  • Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.
