Situated in the heart of Angel is a supportive and welcoming Primary School who are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Assistant who specialises in supporting children with Special Educational Needs, to provide high quality support to students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Working days: Monday to Friday

Working hours: 8:30am until 4pm

What the role will involve:

  • Supporting students with needs such as Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Down's Syndrome and MLD
  • Working closely with the class teacher and schools SENco to ensure the best support is provided
  • Completing observations and updating individuals' journals
  • Liaising with external agencies such as occupational therapists and speech and language therapists

What you need to apply for the SEND Support position:

  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs
  • Sound knowledge of the Primary curriculum
  • An up-to-date DBS, ideally registered with the update service or happy to apply for a DBS
