We are currently looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a special needs school for children with complex learning needs and autism in Middlesex. 

The role

In this role you will provide general support to the teacher including support and management of pupils in lessons, at swimming, playtime, leisure and lunchtimes and the preparation of teaching resources and displays. There are up to 6 pupils in each class. All pupils have special educational needs and will require a range of support.

The school are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who has a real passion for, and commitment to working with children with complex learning needs. Previous experience supporting young children or adults with special educational needs is preferable.

The school

This large specialist SEND primary school is for 3 to 11-year-olds with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, some of whom also have an additional diagnosis of autism. The school provides a specialist learning environment for up to 140 pupils across two sites which benefit from excellent facilities and a range of indoor and outdoor learning and therapy spaces. Learning is focused on the unique abilities of each child with teachers, therapists and support staff working closely to allow them to meet their potential in a creative and supportive environment. There is a welcoming and committed staff team in place and you will have access to professional development and in-house training.
