They are currently seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their passionate team on a part-time basis.

Role Overview:

As a Part-Time SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the inclusion and development of students with special educational needs. Working closely with our experienced teaching staff, you will contribute to creating a positive and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
  • Collaborate with class teachers to implement and adapt lesson plans to accommodate the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional development of students.
  • Monitor and record the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies outlined by the SENCo.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant qualifications in Special Education or related field.
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
