The Role:

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work in our resource provision dedicated to students with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). Your role will be vital in providing support and assistance to these students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SLD.

· Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.

· Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

· Encourage and facilitate student engagement and participation in classroom activities.

· Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to meet the diverse needs of students.

· Provide emotional and behavioural support when necessary.

Requirements:

· Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, particularly SLD, is preferred.

· A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to working with students.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· The ability to work effectively in a team and take direction from teachers and senior staff.

· A commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity in the classroom.
