About the Role

We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants with a strong focus on supporting students with ASD in vibrant and inclusive SEN schools in Merton, London. These schools are dedicated to creating a nurturing and structured environment where every child, especially those with ASD, can thrive and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

�? Provide specialist support to students with ASD, both in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis�? Implement structured strategies to assist with sensory processing, communication, and social interaction�? Use visual aids, PECS, and other ASD-specific techniques to enhance learning�? Assist teachers in delivering individualised and engaging lessons tailored to ASD students' needs�? Encourage students' independence, confidence, and emotional regulation�? Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure consistent and effective ASD support�? Promote a calm, inclusive, and structured learning environment

Who We're Looking For

?? Enthusiastic individuals with a passion for supporting children with ASD?? Experience working with ASD, SEN, or challenging behaviour (preferred but not essential)?? Understanding of ASD-friendly teaching techniques, sensory needs, and communication methods?? Strong communication and interpersonal skills?? Resilient, patient, and adaptable mindset?? Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, Psychology degree, Autism training, Youth Work) - desirable but not required
