Are you passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) thrive in their learning environment? We are looking for a committed and empathetic SEN Learner Assistant to join our team at a primary SEND school in Lambeth, London.

Key Duties:

  • Provide personalized support to students with SEN, assisting them in reaching their academic and personal goals.
  • Work closely with teachers to follow and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt strategies to suit each child's learning needs.
  • Help foster a warm and inclusive classroom environment, focusing on the social and emotional well-being of all pupils.
  • Assist in classroom activities, ensuring students receive an engaging and supportive learning experience.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and stakeholders, offering updates on student progress.

Candidate Profile:

  • Prior experience working with SEN students is preferred but not essential.
  • A patient, caring attitude and a genuine interest in supporting children with diverse learning needs.
  • Flexibility in adapting teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is desirable due to the school's location in Lambeth.
