Teaching Assistant 121

At Tradewind we are currently looking for a 121 SEN Teaching Assistant to help support a child in Year 3. The pupil has ASD and needs extra support within the classroom and some 121 intervention outside of the classroom.

How can you support?

  • Supporting the child within the classroom and outside of the classroom.
  • Excellent and open communication with the class teacher, peers and parents
  • Engaging the child with their interests
  • Use of Picture Exchange Communication system (PECS)
  • Working closely with the teacher in planning, preparation and delivery of a programme of support for the pupil.
  • Attend all safeguard training, and further training which is relevant for the child you are supporting.
  • Be a problem solver who can think quick on their feet.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 1 years' experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD, ADHD)
  • Educated to A level or above, or hold an appropriate TA / SEND Qualification
  • Strong organisation skills, prioritisation and finishing tasks to completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
