Year 6 SEN Teaching Assistant - Lambeth, South LondonYr 6 SEN 1:1 LSA, Lambeth, South London Are you an experienced key stage 2 teaching assistant looking for a new challenge? Are you passionate about working with pupils on a 1 to 1 basis? We have an excellent opportunity for a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant/ Learning Support Assistant to work with a Year 6 pupil on a 1:1 basis. Your New RoleIn the morning, you will be working closely with a pupil with behavioural issues and learning difficulties in year 6. You will also need a background of sport and you will be required to keep up with their pace.In the aftrenoon, you will also be involved in general teaching assistant work, such as assisting the class teacher, preparing resources, and supporting other pupils in the class. You will be expected to follow the school's policies and procedures, and work collaboratively with other staff and professionals. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification in education, childcare or SEN, or equivalent experience.
  • A good understanding of the needs of pupils with learning difficulties and sensory needs.
  • A positive and flexible attitude, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a sense of humour
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
