1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA) - Year 6Location: Lambeth Contract: Full-time Start Date: January 2025Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and nurturing 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA) with strong behaviour management skills to support a challenging Year 6 child. This role requires the ability to work at the KS2 level, although the child is not yet working at the Year 6 level.Key Responsibilities

  • 1:1 Support: Provide tailored support to a Year 6 child, starting with one hour a day and increasing over time.
  • Behaviour Management: Implement effective behaviour management strategies to support the child's learning and development.
  • Nurturing Approach: Foster a supportive and encouraging environment to help the child thrive.
  • Collaborative Planning: Work closely with teachers and other staff to plan and deliver appropriate interventions.
  • Additional Support: Assisting other children in the classroom when the primary child is not in school.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in a primary school setting, particularly in KS2.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
