About the Role:Are you passionate about supporting young people with SEMH and behavioural challenges? Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor with Learning Support Assistant (LSA) responsibilities to join a progressive SEN school in Islington this January. Situated in a prime location with excellent transport links, this school offers a supportive and inclusive environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of young learners.

This role combines behaviour support with classroom assistance, making it ideal for someone who thrives on variety and enjoys working closely with students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH and behavioural needs, helping them engage in their learning
  • Assist teachers in creating an inclusive classroom environment, ensuring all students feel supported and valued
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and reduce barriers to learning
  • Develop tailored plans for individual students, working collaboratively with teachers and the SENCo
  • Support students in developing social skills, emotional resilience, and confidence
  • Contribute to school-wide initiatives and activities that promote inclusion and well-being

  • A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to working with young people
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Additional Details:

  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday
  • Paid £100 - £125 per day, term time only
