Remedy Education is excited to present a rewarding new role, based in a specialist school in Greenwich, South East London. The school look after a wide range of special needs & disabilities aged 11-19,the predominant need of the students is complex learning needs, which include Autism, ADHD, PMLD and Behavioural.

The school are looking for strong support staff to join them on a full-time basis. There is also an opportunity to join them on a supply basis, which is completely flexible work to manage around your schedule.

Position Details:

  • Role: SEND Learning Support Assistant

  • Start Date: January 2025

  • Location: Greenwich, South East London

  • Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8.45am until 3.30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher to plan, prepare, and deliver fun and engaging classes.

  • Help provide a nurturing and supportive classroom environment.

  • Support the class teacher wherever necessary, providing regular feedback

  • Collaborate with LSA's, parents, and external stakeholders to promote student welfare and achievement.

  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.

Requirements:

  • Ideally experience working in a special school

  • Experience working with SEND

  • Strong understanding of the needs of children with SEND

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Passion for SEND and a commitment to continuous professional development.
