Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality support to students with disabilities in Southwark, ensuring they have access to an inclusive and engaging curriculum.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate the specific needs of students with disabilities.
- Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and parents to create a holistic and supportive learning environment.
- Take part in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills as a Disability Support Teacher.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience working with students with disabilities, including knowledge of various learning disabilities.
- SEN qualification or training (such as a PGCE in Special Educational Needs or equivalent).
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
