Early Years Practitioner | Camden| Full Time | September Start

Do you have a passion for working with children? Are you a qualified TA or hold a relevant childcare degree?

LTF Recruitment are working on an exciting opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant to join the support staff team of our partner school in Camden. The school are looking for a teaching assistant to provide support to pupils with special educational needs in their early years classes. The school is a welcoming, friendly, two form entry school. The school encourages a love for learning through a rich and broad curriculum and extended activities. You will be working with a friendly staff team who are passionate about children achieving the best possible outcomes.

The main duties within this role will be:

  • Supporting children right across the early years and foundation stage
  • Working alongside and providing additional support to SEN children
  • Liaising with the class teacher and school SENCO around progress of pupils
  • Running phonics lessons to children working below age expected levels and also those exceeding
  • Working 1:1 with children who have: autism, ADHD, behavioural challenges & low learning levels
  • Being a positive member of the school staff and promoting their values

The school are only looking to accept applications from people who:

  • Hold a relevant degree or a TA qualification
  • Have at least one years school or nursery based experience within EYFS
  • Understand how to work with SEN pupils
  • Are capable of understanding the primary school curriculum
  • Can build relationships with pupils quickly and efficiently
  • Are reliable and hold a great attendance and punctuality record
