Lead Teacher - Resourced Provision for Autism

Salary: MPS / UPS & SEN Allowance (negotiable based on experience)

Academics is assisting a school in the borough of Greenwich recruit an experienced and passionate Lead Teacher to take responsibility for a newly opening Resourced Provision (RP) for Autism within a mainstream primary school. This role involves leading a dedicated team to ensure high-quality support for pupils with autism, enabling them to access learning successfully alongside their peers.

About the Role

The school's provision will open in September 2025 providing specialist education for pupils with autism. The provision will be staffed by a skilled and committed team who will work closely with pupils, parents, and external agencies to create a personalised learning experience. The successful candidate will lead the RP, ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning, and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Resourced Provision for Autism, overseeing support staff and the Designated Specialist Provision (DSP) Manager.
  • Ensure that all pupils in the RP receive tailored learning plans to support their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Work closely with the SENCO and Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement effective SEND strategies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with parents and external agencies, ensuring that support is coordinated and effective.
  • Oversee the assessment and progress tracking of pupils within the RP, ensuring each child reaches their full potential.
