Job Description: SEN Teacher

Overview:Remedy Education is seeking a qualified and passionate SEN Teacher to join a Primary School in Southwark .The successful candidate will demonstrate strong classroom management skills and provide engaging, tailored teaching to meet the diverse needs of all students, particularly those with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the national curriculum while catering to the unique learning needs of students with SEN.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and structured classroom environment, using effective behaviour management strategies to encourage respect and learning.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes. Utilise assessment data to inform future planning and targeted interventions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with fellow teachers, support staff, and school leadership to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning for all students.
  • Parent Communication: Establish effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behaviour, and any concerns, fostering a strong home-school partnership.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities and participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance your teaching practice and knowledge of SEN.
  • Safeguarding: Uphold and promote the school's safeguarding policies, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.
