Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the school’s SEND strategy and provision.
  • Lead on the identification of children with SEND, ensuring appropriate support plans are in place.
  • Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to support pupils’ needs.
  • Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and other relevant legislation.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to teaching staff on inclusive practices.
  • Manage the SEND budget effectively to provide resources and interventions.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold the NASENCo qualification (or be willing to work towards it).
  • Have experience working with children with SEND in a primary school setting.
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
