RE and Humanities Teacher – Hackney

A thriving secondary school in Hackney is seeking an enthusiastic RE and Humanities teacher to join their dynamic team from April or September 2025. This is a full time, permanent position.

The Role – RE and Humanities Teacher
•    Teach engaging and high-quality RE lessons across KS3 and KS4, fostering an appreciation for different beliefs, cultures, and ethical issues.
•    Deliver lessons in other Humanities subjects at KS3, contributing to a well-rounded curriculum.
•    Plan and develop schemes of work that promote deep thinking and strong subject knowledge, tailored to meet student’s individual needs and abilities. 
•    Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted support to ensure achievement and inclusivity for all.
•    Contribute to the wider school community by leading extracurricular activities, organising trips, or supporting enrichment programmes.
•    Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning within the Humanities department.
•    Take on pastoral responsibilities, including form tutor duties if required.
