Horizon Teachers are working closely with a mainstream Primary school in Central London, supporting in their search for a SEN Class Teacher to start from January. As a SEN Class Teacher, you will teach a small class of pupils who all have Special Educational Needs and are aged between 6 - 11 years. The school is a one form entry setting with a specialist provision they receive the required amount of attention and care at school. The students have varying SEN needs, including Autism, Downs Syndrome and various physical disabilities.The school is seeking someone with:
  • Class teacher experience, specifically pupils with SEND
  • Experience working in a school for children with learning difficulties
  • Experience with students/adults with physical difficulty and autism.
  • The ability to take the initiative and engage with children to support them in their work and play.
  • The confidence to teach and make observations of their learning.
  • Someone who can teach across key stages.
