SEN Early Years Teacher

Prospero Teaching are seeking SEN Class Teachers to teach complex needs pupils in South East London, SE21. Details:Vacancy: SEN Teachers (Accepting Primary or Secondary Class Teachers ) School Type: SEN ASD, Complex Needs Primary, Secondary and Post 16 School (PMLD/SLD/ASD and related SEN) Full Time: 5 days per week Hours: 8:45 AM - 4:15 PM Start Date: September 24 Salary: Paid to scale Location: South East London, SE21 Contract Type: Temporary with the opportunity to go permanent Immediate Trials Responsibilities:General Teaching Duties: · Deliver engaging and effective lessons to primary, secondary and post 16 pupils with complex needs, including PMLD, SLD, ASD, and GLD and related SEN. · Develop lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and abilities of students. · Utilise PECS, visual aids, Makaton, and other specialised communication methods to support pupil learning and engagement. · Assess and track pupil progress, providing feedback and support as needed. · Maintain an organised and resource-rich classroom environment. Pupil Abilities: Pupils' abilities vary, with some corresponding to developmental levels below 18 months, while others are at pre-key stage standards 1 and 2. All pupils are non-verbal and can display challenging behaviours.
