Do you have a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and want to make a real difference in their education? We have an exciting opportunity for a caring and dedicated SEN Learner Assistant to join the team at a primary SEND school in Wandsworth, London.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Offer tailored, one-on-one assistance to students with SEN, helping them achieve academic and personal milestones.
  • Work alongside teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and develop strategies that meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that nurtures the social and emotional well-being of students.
  • Assist in classroom activities, ensuring a stimulating and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Keep parents, guardians, and other stakeholders informed with regular updates on student progress and development.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with SEN students is highly desirable.
  • You should be patient, empathetic, and truly committed to supporting the needs of SEN learners.
  • Adaptable to different teaching approaches to suit various learning styles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid driving license and access to a car would be beneficial due to the school's location in Wandsworth.
