Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a SEN Primary Class Teacher to join Special Education Needs School in Streatham, within the London Borough of Lambeth, in Southwest London, As an SEN Primary Class Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching children with ASD, medical, and complex needs in a specialist setting. You will deliver tailored lessons that meet the unique learning requirements of each pupil, adapting materials and tasks to suit their abilities. You will foster a supportive and inclusive classroom, promoting positive peer interactions and ensuring all pupils feel valued. Key responsibilities include implementing and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEPs), managing behaviour effectively, providing emotional support, and working closely with teaching staff, SEN professionals, and parents to create a nurturing environment where pupils can thrive. Job Title: SEN Primary Class Teacher Key Stage: KS1/2 class Location: Streatham Full-Time: 5 days per week Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, plus parent evenings Salary: Teacher salaries are determined by the national pay scales Start Date: ASAP (January 2025) End Date: On-going Contract Type (temp/perm/temp to perm): Temporary with the opportunity to go permanentSchool Type: A community special school located in Streatham, London, catering to children aged 2 to 11 with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and complex medical needs. As of the latest available information, the school has a capacity of 110 pupils and currently enrolls 110 students. SEN Needs: ASD, SLD, PMLD, Complex and medical needs.
